Sangiovese | 2019
The Sangiovese is grown on granite and shaley soil over two sites in the Canberra District. The vines are tended by hand, Sangiovese generally throws bountiful crops so hand thinning was required to ensure we had a well-balanced crop.
Hand harvested fruit, 15% whole bunch, fermented in round open top fermenters with natural yeast, gently pressed then aged in French oak 10% new for 11 months.
Lively red fruits with juicy characters, rich and complex palate completed with earthy tones, finished with indulgent savoury tannins.
